amination fixtures are a very critical part of an overall registration system. All the accuracy attained in a precision artwork and inner layer registration punching system can be easily lost if the lamination fixtures are not made accurately. Even so, lamination fixtures are often purchased on price alone with little or no consideration for material specifications or more importantly, positional accuracy of the tooling.

Lamination fixtures are made up of top and bottom plates from either stress relieved hot rolled steel or 4140 hardened steel (Rockwell “C” 35-40). All plates come with a ground surface finish #32 RMS. Flatness tolerance within .005/ft, parallelism +/- .001”. Flatness and parallelism, surface finish, steel composition, hardness and precise bushing positioning are all parameters guaranteed before all plates are shipped. All lamination plates are shipped scratch-free on the working surface and applied with a rust preventative coating. Multiline Technology also manufactures stainless steel separator plates, which are available in two types of material type 304 and 630. All have a #4 smooth finish with deburred edges and rounded corners. The Type 304 material has sufficient corrosive and scratch-resistant properties at an economical price. The 630 Stainless is harder and will remain scratch-free and flat longer through its life. All separator plates are shipped scratch-free and applied with a vinyl coating.
