Hardened Stainless Steel |
|
Industry standard with sufficient corrosive and scratch-resistent properties at an economical price |
Specially hardened stainless steel insures the plates will remain flat and also makes the plate more dent and scratch resistent. This also makes the plates more corrosive resistent. |
Lamination Plates ServiceLamination plates and separator plates can, in most cases, be refurbished to original specifications. (Call for further details.) |

Drilling MachineTooling Plates |
These plates are mounted on drilling machines and used for pinning material during drilling. Plates can be manufactured for all drilling machine models.Hole locations for tool changers can be provided as an option. Plates are available in three types. Hard Tooling Plates: Aluminum primary plates with bushings and slots with hardened steel rails. The rails are screwed and doweled into position, and can be replaced if needed. Soft Tooling Plates: Aluminum plates with threaded holes to accept interchangeable Delrin® plugs. Soft tooling plates are recommended to correct spindle-to-drill table error during multilayer drilling. These plates can be tooled to Multiline standard configuration or to customer specification. This type of plate is available as either a primary plate or a supplementary plate. The supplementary plate mounts over a hard tooling primary plate. This enables the operator to add soft tooling to the existing hard tooling plate already on the drill. Custom plates built to customer specifications are available upon request. Standard plate matches standard Multiline configuration for all positions from 9" x 9" to 18" x 24". Combination Plates: Aluminum plates with both soft tooling and hard tooling locations mounted on the same plates. Each plate contains Delrin® plug locations and the bushing and hardened slot rails for hard tooling. The operator can use either hard or soft tooling without changing tooling plates. Custom plates built to customer specifications are available upon request. Standard plate matches standard Multiline configuration for all positions from 9" x 9" to 18" x 24". |

Lamination Pin & Bushing Inspection KitA worn or defective lamination pin or bushing may be very difficult to detect, especially by the naked eye. A lamination pin, after some usage, may become worn, mushroomed or bent. Notably, lamination bushings are also susceptible to wear such as hole enlargement or closing. While some of these defects may be determined by the uses of conventional inspection equipment, it can be very time consuming and often confusing. Using the carefully designed Multiline gages, all the problems associated with the inspection of pins and bushings can now be eliminated. |

Bushing Installation KitAll Multiline lamination fixtures are manufactured with headed bushings which are press fit into the top and bottom plates. These are used to prevent wear and maintain size and positional accuracy. Although extreme care is taken in removing the pins after the lamination process, accidents can happen resulting in cracking of the hardened bushings. This problem may be resolved by replacing the damaged bushings; thus prolonging the service life of your lamination fixtures. Therefore, Multiline Technology has designed a complete set of tools, installation kit number ZZB43A, which provides an easy and effective method for bushing installation. The set also includes a standard soft face, dead blow hammer specifically supplied to prevent denting or scratching the plates' surfaces. |
